They are complete fiction. Someone may have heard a story and base it on that, like a lot of writers do but the names, locations and details are made up.

I just came across this show and enjoyed the "true" ghost stories. I'm watching the one about Sad Sam the murdering clown now. According to the show he was at a kids party, hid in a closet and later murdered the whole family. So if this was true then I would find something about it online right? I found nothing but people discussing the show. These are not true and not based off real paranormal accounts. I believe in ghosts so why do they have to make stories?
