Lee Na-Young is cast in tvN drama series “Romance is a Bonus Book” (literal title) co-starringLee Jong-Suk. For drama series “Romance is a Bonus Book,” Lee Na-Young will play lead female character Kang Dan-Yi. She was once a famous copywriter, but she is no longer. She is now broke and unemployed. Because of her excellent background, she is unable to find a job. She then resorts to lying about her background and gets a job at a publishing company where Cha Eun-Ho (played by Lee Jong-Suk ) works as a chief editor. Drama series is scripted byJung Hyun-Jung (“In Need of Romance“) and directed byLee Jung-Hyo (“The Good Wife“).

Lee Jong-Suk is cast in new tvN drama series “Romance is a Bonus Book” (literal title). For the drama series, Lee Jong-Suk will play lead male character Cha Eun-Ho. He is a genius writer and the youngest chief editor ever at a publishing company. Cha Eun-Ho is also cool-headed at work, but has a warm heart and reasonable personality. Lee Jong-Suk stated “I like the work of screenwriter Jung Hyun-Jung and director Lee Jung-Hyo, so I am happy to work with them. Romantic-comedy genre is also a first for me, so I am looking forward to it a lot.” Story for the drama series will be set around a publishing company and follow people who publish books.

Lee Na-Young has been offered the lead female role in upcoming tvN drama series “Romance is a Bonus Book” (literal title). Actor Lee Jong-Suk has already received an offer to play the lead male role. Currently, both performers are “positively considering” their offers. Also, cable channel tvN has picked up the drama series and it will air sometime next year in South Korea.

Kim Ji-Won has been offered the lead female role in tvN drama series “The Chronicles of Aseudal” (working literal title). ActorSong Joong-Ki has already received an offer to play the lead male role and he is still considering the offer. Currently, Kim Ji-Won is “positively considering” the offer for “The Chronicles of Aseudal.” Of course, Kim Ji-Won famously played a major supporting character role in hit KBS2 drama series “Descendants of the Sun” which featured Song Joong-Ki in the lead male character role.

Meanwhile, according to Kim Ji-Won’s management company Starship Entertainment, Kim Ji-Won is still considering an offer to play the lead female role in Netflix drama series “See You Again” with Lee Jong-Suk also considering an offer to play the lead male role. Conceivably, Kim Ji-Won could accept both offers because the filming schedules for both drama series do not overlap.

“The Chronicles of Aseudal” will air sometime during the first half of 2019 in South Korea as a completed pre-production.

Lee Jong-Suk and Kim Ji-Won have been offered lead roles in new Netflix drama series “See You Again.” Both performers are currently considering the offers. If they both accept, this will be their first time acting together since 2011 MBC drama series “High Kick! 3.” Filming for “See You Again” will begin May, 2018.

Shin Hye-Sun is cast in SBS drama special “Praise of Death” (literal title) co-starringLee Jong-Suk. Shin Hye-Sun most recently starred in KBS2 weekend drama series “My Golden Life” which got ratings as high as 47.5% for an episode. Drama series “Praise of Death” is based on the true story of Korea’s first soprano Yun Sim-Deok (Shin Hye-Sun) and stage drama writer Kim Woo-Jin (Lee Jong-Suk). They experience a tragic love as Kim Woo-Jin is already married. Lee Jong-Suk and Shin Hye-Sun previously worked together in 2013 KBS2 drama series “School 2013.”

“Praise of Death” will consist of 2 episodes and air sometime later this year in South Korea.

Lee Jong-Suk is now cast in SBS drama special “Praise of Death” (literal title). The drama special is based on the true story of Kim Woo-Jin and Yun Sim-Deok. Lee Jong-Suk will play lead male character Kim Woo-Jin. While Korea is under Japanese occupation, Kim Woo-Jin works as a stage drama writer. While studying in Japan, he falls in love with Yun Sim-Deok even though he is already married. Yun Sim-Deok would go on to release the first Korean pop song titled “Praise of Death” in 1926.

Lee Jong-Suk is reportedly not receiving payment for his performance and instead performing to support director Park Soo-Jin whom he worked with previously in 2017 SBS drama series “While You Were Sleeping.” “Praise of Death” will consist of 2 episodes and will air sometime this year in South Korea.
