6 Best Fire-Type Coromon & Where To Catch Them (2024)

Coromon isn't just a Pokemon clone, but it does have some similarities. One of those is just how powerful Fire-types are in both games! Still, there are certainly some Cormon that stand out above the rest.

Some Fire-types in the game are particularly curious and can look bad on the surface. When used to their best potential however, they become almost impossible to stop.

6 Volcadon - (Evolves from Embaval and Toruga)

With Toruga being a starter to choose from, it's one of the best ways to get a powerful Fire-Type right from the start of the game. It evolves from Toruga to Embaval at level 18 and from Embaval to Volcadon at level 36.

With Pokemon and its various clones, starters are always made to be a bit more powerful. This is because players tend to form strong emotional bonds with it and they need to keep up as the game progresses. Volcadon is no exception to this rule but is particularly potent with its Special Attack stat.

While Volcadon has a limited move pool when it comes to attacks that use that stat, the ones it has are particularly fierce. With options like Firestorm, Detonate, Feint Bursts, and Fiery Breath, it can take down most enemies pretty easily.

5 Blazitaur - (Evolves from Mino)

With Mino being available in Radiant Park, the first route of the game, it makes a lot of sense to evolve one up! Mino evolves into Blazitaur at level 32. However, it's not impossible to simply get a Blazitaur itself, though it's fairly uncommon.

It may not have strong defenses, but Blazitaur's Attack stat is truly massive. With extremely powerful attacks like Stampede and Headcrash in its arsenal, it can really bring on the heat in battle.

All of Blazitaur's Traits are extremely useful in bringing out its maximum attack power. Comeback can raise its Attack when its HP is low — perfect for a Coromon with lower defenses. It can also avoid recoil damage to use stronger attacks with Hardheaded. Finally, Motivated can make Blazitaur a perfect revenge killer that leads to sweeping an opposing team.

4 Ashclops - (Evolves from Molteye and Bloby)

There's no way to directly catch Ashclops, so players will have to evolve it up from a Molteye or Bloby. Bloby evolves into Molteye at level 23 and evolves from Molteye to Ashclops at level 44.

While Ashclops has an extremely high Attack stat, it doesn't have a very large physical move pool to choose from. There are two different ways to mitigate this. First, would be to use its Trait Flare Intake to raise its special attack with a well-timed switch in. The second might be to use its Trait Gullible so moves like Rage, Epiphany, and Concentrate to make all of its attacks even more powerful.

3 Infinix - (Evolves from Pyrochick and Bren)

As Bren cannot be found in the wild, it takes a bit more work to get an Infinix. Even if a player has a Bren, they have to raise it to level 12 or fight with it in three battles before it evolves in Pyrochick anyway, an unusual evolution method. Pyrochick evolves into Infinix at level 32.

When this Coromon faints, it ends up becoming a Bren once more if it has the Trait Rebirth which can be weird for trainers to work around as is likely best avoided if possible. Soothing Aura and Afterburner are far better choices for their healing properties and burning properties respectively.

While it does have quite an impressive Attack stat which can be raised even further with All In to create a powerful glass cannon, its myriad of Status moves are what makes Infinix truly attractive to add to the team.

2 Magmilus - (Evolves from Squidma)

While it can be caught by itself, Squidma is easier to catch. Squidma evolves into Magmilus at level 30.

Magmilus has some unusual stats, but they begin to make far more sense when looking at its Trait Reignite. When its HP is lowered, all of its Fire-Type attacks do 50% more damage. Once this happens, its high Speed and lower Attack and Special Attack stats aren't as difficult to work around.

1 Vulbrute - (Evolves from Ruptius)

While it's possible to catch Vulbrute in the wild, it's likely easier to just evolve Ruptius into one at level 42. While it's one of the slowest Coromon in the game, its massive Defense stats make that not as bad. Seeing as how it also has the highest Special Attack stat out of all Fire-types, it makes sense that players would want one on their team.

With Detonate and Firestorm as potential attacking options, this means Vulbrute will be able to pile on Fire-type damage like no other Coromon! Its Special Defense can also be raised as well for players who set it up with the Trait Steam Layer making it even more of a powerhouse.
